Calling All Scrapstasher's!

Hello fellow Stasher's--

As most of you know...I broke the sacred code last month and told you what we will be doing for this month's Scrapstasher's Meetings. But for those of you who don't know, we will be having a

ScrapStasher Page Swap!
We will be creating 4 double lo's!
That's right, 8 pages my friend!

Here is how it will work. When you come to the meeting, I will have 4 groups of tables set up. Each group will work on 1 specific double lo (designed by me). Now in order for this swap to be successful and stress-free, it is extremely important that you bring your papers already cut in the dimensions that are provided for you below. You will assemble your pages and I will collect them. When everyone is finished, you will receive a lo from each group and walk away with 4 unique double lo's. Woo Hoo!

Here is your "What to Bring" list:

This is what you will need for 1 lo...please bring 4 sets (because we will be making 4 lo's). Put each set in a bag or paper clip them together so that you don't get them mixed up.

two sheets of 12x12 cardstock (base pages)
two 3x12 pieces of printed paper A
two 6x6 pieces of printed paper B
one 4x12 piece of printed paper C
two 5x7 pieces of cardstock A
one 4x12 pieces of cardstock B
2 coordinating cat eyes or ink pads

Additional items:
paper trimmer
(each group will make some additional cuts to the papers depending on that specific lo)
adhesive, adhesive, adhesive...you will need lots!
pop dots

If you have any questions, please let me know. Our Scrapstasher Page Swap is sure to be an AwEsoMe event and a great way to kick off the New Year! If you have not reserved your seat, then please contact the store immediatelyat (817) 282-2622. Also, for those of you who have reserved your seat, please let us know if you will not be able to attend so that we can provide your seat to someone else.

I look forward to creating with you next week!
Tracy :)

Merry! Merry!

Well, we have made it! Christmas is here and if you haven't bought it, baked it or wrapped it by now..... chances are it will not be missed!

The weather here in Texas has made one of it's dramatic swings and yesterday I was in short sleeves and working on my tan, today I am seeing those little snow flakes on the weather forcast on my iPhone and numbers like 3... and 9. A typical weather swing for us here in this great state! But, I personally embrace it! It's Christmas for goodness sake and it is supposed to be cold! Right? So enjoy!

Anthologies will be closed for 2 days so that we can all enjoy time with our families and friends and we hope that you are doing the same. We will be back on Saturday the 26th for those of you holding new Anthologies gift cards and can't wait to see you. But meanwhile enjoy your holiday and God bless us every one!

*Please bring 12 sets of the following papers: (that’s right…12 sets). Don’t worry, you will LoVe this FaBulOuS project! Several assorted buttons (varying sizes)
Adhesive (such as a tape runner)
Glue Dots
Zip Dry

You've been Boo'd!!

What a great time we had at our October Scrapstasher's meeitngs! Thanks to all who attended! It was so much fun creating our "You've been Boo'd" treat containers together! If you would like to know more about Scrapstasher's and how to become a part of this creative group, please visit the website at http://www.anthologiesbyme.com/ or contact the store at (817) 282-2622.
We used cute papers, ric rac, and a "boo"tiful felt spider (a die cut at Anthologies) to alter Crystal Light containers...Pringles containers work great too! The container will be filled with treats and the "You've been Boo'd" poem with instructions on how to keep the Boo'd chain going. I posted the poem below for you.
"You've Been Boo'd"
The air is cool the season fall
Soon Halloween will come to all
The spooks are after things to do
In fact, a spook brought this to you
"BOO" is a shield from the witching hour
Just hang it up and watch its power
On your front door is where it works
It wards off spooks and scary jerks
The treats that came with crypted note
Are yours to keep, enjoy them both
The power comes when friends like you
Will copy this and make it two
Then others here among our friends
Will give warm fuzzies that do not end
We'll all have smiles upon our face
No one will know who "BOO'ed" whose place
Just two short days to work your spell
Or a big zap will strike your tail
And don't forget a nifty treat,
Like something cute or something sweet
Please join the fun, let's really hear it
And spread some "BOO's" and Halloween spirit.

To keep the Boo’d chain going…
1. Enjoy your treat.
2. Within 2 days, fill the container with special treats
3. Secretly deliver to 2 neighbors/friends
Happy Haunting to ALL!
Tracy :)

News Flash! News Flash!

Come and play with us!

I am happy to announce we will be holding our first ‘Studio Sessions’ beginning on October 2nd!

So, what’s a ‘Studio Session’? These are the wonderful Friday and Saturday night events that you know as ‘crops’.

Beginning at 10 am on Monday, September 14th we will begin to take reservations for ‘Studio Sessions’ for October only. This will include the Studio Sessions during our Grand Opening weekend October 2nd and 3rd.

Here’s how the reservation process will work:

1) You must call Anthologies at 817-282-2622 to make your reservation.
2) You will need to call beginning at 10 am on Monday, September 14th.
3) Prior to opening the store on October 2nd, we will only take reservations for the Studio Sessions in the month of October.
4) If you are making reservations for a group, please plan on paying for the entire group when you call.
5) We will take a waiting list for each Studio Session

Info about Studio Sessions:
Friday and Saturday nights will be ‘Studio Sessions’ here at Anthologies. These Studio Sessions will be from 6 pm until midnight and be spent working on your wonderful projects with lots of friends and creative people around. The fee for Studio Nights will be $10 and will be paid at the time your reservation is made. Included in this will be:
· One-half of a 30 x 60 table. As we complete our entire 1400 square foot studio space, each person will use their own 30 x 60 table and the Studio fee will at that time go to $15.
· Yummy appetizers and desserts at your disposal throughout the evening with beverages to choose from.
· Each participant will receive a goodie bag as well as participate in drawings throughout the night for wonderful prizes.
· You can run a ‘courtesy tab’ when you participate in Studio Night and when you purchase $75 or more in products during one event, we will rebate your Studio fee. This rebate will be only on purchases made during the single Studio Night event. For special Studio events which may have longer hours and include a meal as well as a larger fee, only the Studio fee portion will be rebated for reaching the $75 purchase goal.
· If you plan on arriving later than 8 pm, please let us know so we don’t give away your seat.
· Refunds for cancellations will only be given if we have the time to fill your spot.

Currently our studio space is set to accommodate roughly 20 people at the shared table spaces. Over the next few months we will be taking over the retail space next door and taking down the wall between our two spaces and our studio will be a total of 1400 square feet and accommodate roughly 20 people each at your own 60 x 30 table.

We do not at this time have a date for this expansion. The folks next door are indeed moving out and we will indeed be acquiring the space. The very minute that I have this date I will share it with you.
Stay tuned next week for our calendar of October happenings – the calendar is quite full and we can’t wait to share i

It's kinda like Christmas......

Did you ever watch that package under the Christmas tree for weeks sort of knowing what was inside but not quite sure?

How about that wrapped birthday present up in the top of the closet that you weren't really supposed to see, but there it is....

We are entering the final stretch in getting the store ready to open and it is with mixed emotions that I must tell you that we have blocked out the windows and they will remain that way until October 2nd at 10 am when we open the doors for the first time.

We are about to lay the carpet and the fixtures are going up and we'll begin to put the product out. I think that you will all be very, very pleased. As Tom and I have unpacked product and checked it all in I grow more and more convinced that the selection and breadth of product line will be like none you have ever seen!

So, in order to keep as much as possible under wraps until the 'ta-da' moment in October, we are operating behind brown paper and closed doors - please allow us to surprise you just a little!

We will continue to provide you updates in our weekly newsletter. If you are not a subscriber, please click the link at the left and sign up to continue to get the latest and greatest information and pictures!
Synchronize your watches. Mark your calendar. Take a vacation day from work on October 2, 2009. Anthologies is only a little over 5 weeks away and we can't wait!
See you soon!

What a great day!

We had our first Anthologies outing together on Saturday and it was so much fun! We participated in a local 12-hour Crop for the Cure to raise funds for breast cancer research. Anthologies donated several door prizes and two beautiful albums for a raffle. We also offered a make-and-take card (see below) for 70 or so participants which Susan designed for us.Isn't it wonderful?!?! It had to be relatively simple and quick and everything was precut. She used three beautiful patterned papers from Melissa Frances' Thankful line. Just to add to the fun...I provided a free 12x12 page lo kit for all of the croppers too! Many other vendors contributed to the door prizes and held M&T's for these lucky croppers and if you ever get the chance to eat at Sweet Tomatoes...take it! They provided lunch and it was oh so yummy!

My hat goes off to the coordinators of this 12-hour event! They did an amazing job! It was fabulous to be in a room full of 70+ croppers, many of whom are breast cancer survivors. Thank you for sharing your stories with us! Around $3500 in donations were raised as a result of the Crop for the Cure! All of us here at Anthologies are so thankful to have been a part of this incredible event!

Joyfully Yours,
Tracy :)

It's all in the name!

I guess early on is the time to change if you have to!
The name 'Creatively Yours' just keeps having some availability issues, so we've decided to go with Anthologies. For those of you that don't know - an anthology is a collection, selected by the compiler - how appropriate for a scrapbook store and studio!

Stay tuned!
